The First Crocus Of The Year
These
yellow crocus flowers just came out today here in Michigan. Their
short lived lives add a bit of Spring color to any garden....Opening Soon
This photo of a crocus was taken last Spring... Won't be too long now and these flowers will be making their yearly appearance.
Mugunghwa
I finally found out today the Korean name for the Rose Of Sharon plant. Mugunghwa is the national flower for Korea and is a common gift in Korean weddings. Also known as "Rose of Althea" this plant can survive hot temperatures and has beautiful white, pink, red, lavender, or purple flowers. Of course if you follow my sites you know that I sell these seeds all year round. This particular shot above was taken in my backyard just last summer....
Red And Yellow Mums
Took this one in my neighborhood just today... I believe these flowers are Mums, but you can correct me if I am wrong. I have a feeling it won't be too long before these Mums are snow covered.
First Mums Of The Year
As fall approaches here in Michigan the beautiful red mums are starting to flower. These hardy plant normally last till about the first snow fall. I have even had ones last past that!
